Chapter Three: Episode Two*
*The Hideous Schizophrenia*
*Judaism* tried to establish a true divine way of life and was later followed by *Christianity*, which aimed at the same goal but with some changes.
However, the Jews reacted negatively to the message of *Jesus (peace be upon him)* and rejected the new guidance Allah sent through him — even though he told them, as mentioned in the Qur’an:
*“I have come to confirm the Law that was before me and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me.”* (Qur’an 3:50)
The Jews opposed Jesus and his message, which called people to kindness, peace, spiritual purity, and leaving empty rituals that had no real connection with faith.
Finally, they influenced *Pontius Pilate*, the Roman governor of Palestine at that time, to try to kill Jesus through crucifixion.
But only Allah decides the time of death for His servants, and He raised Jesus to Himself.
(We do not know the exact way in which Jesus died, as there is no clear instruction about it in the Qur’an or authentic traditions.)
Whatever the details may be, the relationship between the Jews and the followers of Jesus became very bad.
The new followers of Jesus — most of whom were *Gentiles* (non-Jews) — had no affection for the Jews.
In return, the Jews developed even greater hatred towards these new converts.
*Key Points*
* Judaism and Christianity were divine systems meant to guide life by God’s will.
* Jesus (peace be upon him) came to renew the spirit of divine law and soften hardened hearts.
* The Jews resisted his message and clung to empty rituals.
* Allah saved Jesus and raised him to Himself, proving that His will prevails over human plans.
* The division between Jews and early Christians showed how far people had drifted from divine unity.
*Episode Two: The Struggle of the Earlier Divine Faiths*
*Lesson 1: Every Divine Message Was a Step Toward One Truth*
* Judaism and Christianity were stages in the divine plan leading to Islam.
* Each prophet renewed faith and corrected human errors in belief and practice.
*Lesson 2: Ritual Alone Cannot Replace True Faith*
* When rituals lose spiritual meaning, religion becomes lifeless.
* Jesus (peace be upon him) called people back to sincerity, peace, and inner purity.
*Lesson 3: Human Pride Leads to Rejection of Truth*
* The Jews rejected Jesus out of arrogance and attachment to tradition.
* Every time people follow desire instead of revelation, they oppose divine wisdom.
*Lesson 4: Allah’s Will Always Triumphs*
* No power can destroy a prophet before his mission is complete.
* Allah raised Jesus to Himself, showing that divine plans cannot be overturned by men.
*Lesson 5: Division Among Followers Weakens the Divine Message*
* Conflict between Jews and Christians showed the danger of hatred and disunity.
* True belief must unite hearts under one God and one divine purpose.
*➡️ Episode Two = 5 Lessons.*
The message of this chapter is that *all divine religions were meant to build one continuous path of truth leading to Islam.*
Rebellion against divine guidance and attachment to hollow traditions led to division and weakness.
Only through sincere faith and submission to Allah’s complete message can humanity regain unity, peace, and spiritual strength.
